Reflecting Pool: Quick & Scrappy Quilt Pattern

String piecing for added visual interest is an ideal way to combine a lot of different fabrics in one quilt. The yardage requirements can vary up or down depending on how wide you cut the strips for your string piecing. If you want to use lots of scraps, cut most of your strips at 1–11⁄2 ̋. If you want to use less fabric, cut most of your strips 2–21⁄2 ̋ wide. Do remember that more seams create more bulk and may make quilting challenging, especially for hand quilters!
