... 12 rectangles 2" x 3 1/2" - Piece 1A
... 2 strips 2" x 10" - Piece 1B
... 1 square 4 1/4" x 4 1/4"; sub cut twice diagonally to make 4 quarter-square triangles - Piece 1C
Dark rust
... 4 rectangles 2" x 3 1/2" Piece 2A
... 2 squares 3 7/8"x 3 7/8"; sub cut diagonally to make a total of 4 half-square triangles - Piece 2D
Light rust

... 1 square 4 1/4" x 4 1/4"; sub cut twice diagonally to make 4 quarter-square triangles - Piece 3C

Light green print
... 8 squares 2" x 2" - Piece 4E

Rust print #1
... 1 strip 2" x 10" - Piece 5B
... 4 squares 2" x 2" - Piece 5E

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1. Flying Geese Unit
Draw a diagonal line on wrong side of Piece 4E green print squares. Layer Piece 4E square and Piece 2A dark rust rectangle, right sides together. Sew directly on top of drawn line. Cut away excess fabric 1/4" from seamline. Press seam allowance. Repeat for other end of rectangle (Diagram I). Make 4.

Step 2. Sub-unit #1
Sew Piece 1C quarter-square cream triangle to Piece 3C quarter-square light rust triangle to make pieced triangle. Sew Piece 2D half-square dark rust triangle to pieced triangle (Diagram IIA). Make 4. Sew Flying Geese Unit to Pieced Square unit to make sub unit #1. Make 4.
