Cutting Instructions
Cream
... 16 squares 2 1/2” x 2 1/2”
... 4 squares 2 7/8” x 2 7/8”
... 2 squares 3 1/4” x 3 1/4”; cut twice diagonally to make 8 quarter-square triangles
Medium Mauve
... 4 squares 2 7/8” x 2 7/8”

Dark Mauve
...4 squares 2 7/8” x 2 7/8”; cut once diagonally to make 8 half-square triangles
Green
... 4 rectangles 2 1/2” x 4 1/2”
... 4 squares 1 15/16” x 1 15/16”
Floral Print
... 1 square 4 1/2” x 4 1/2”

Assembly Instructions
Step 1. Draw diagonal line on wrong side of cream 2 7/8" square. Referring to Diagram I, place cream square on medium mauve 2 7/8" square, right sides together. Sew 1/4" seam on each side of marked line; cut apart on marked line. Press open to make pieced square. Make 8.
Step 2. Referring to Diagram II for placement, sew 2 1/2" cream squares to pieced square units to make 4-patch unit. Make 4

Step 3. Draw diagonal line on wrong side of cream 2 1/2" square. Referring to Diagram III, place marked square on green rectangle, right sides together, aligning raw edges. Stitch on drawn line; trim away and discard excess fabric. Press open. Repeat on opposite end to make pieced rectangle. Make 4.
Step 4. Referring to Diagram IV, sew cream 3 1/4" quarter-square triangle to adjacent sides of 1 15/16" square to make pieced-triangle. Sew dark mauve 2 7/8" half-square triangles to short sides of pieced-triangle to make pieced flying geese unit. Make 4 total.
Step 5. Referring to Diagram V, sew flying geese unit to "pieced" flying geese unit. Make 4.

Step 6. Using Diagram V as a guide for unit placement, sew units together to make rows. (Center row, use floral print 4 1/2" square.) Sew rows together to make Best of All Block.
