... 3D - Cut 2 squares 3 7/8" x 3 7/8" - Cut once diagonally to make 4 half square triangles

..... 4E - Cut 32 squares 2" x 2"

Piecing
the Block
Step 1. Flying Geese - Layer 4E square on one end of 2C rectangle. Sew directly on top of drawn line (see Diagram I). Cut off corner 1/4" from seam line. Press toward triangle. Repeat steps for other side of rectangle.

Step 2. Using Diagram II as a placement and color guide, sew four Flying Geese together to form Sub Unit 1. Make 4.
Step 3. Referring to Diagram III, sew triangles to square to make Square in Square unit. Make 1.

Step 4. Using Block Assembly Diagram as placement guide, layout units and 1A squares. Sew together to make rows. Sew rows together to make Christmas Geese Block.
