ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1. Pieced Square
On wrong side of background square 3C, draw diagonal line with the
marking tool of your choice. Layer background square and red 1C square,
right sides together. Sew 1/4" seam on each side of marked line;
cut apart on marked line. Press open to make pieced squares. Make 24
red/background and 8 green/red.

Step 2. Flying Geese Unit
Draw a diagonal line on wrong side of Piece 3D background squares. Layer
Piece 3D square and Piece 2F green rectangle, right sides together.
Sew directly on top of drawn line. Cut away excess fabric 1/4"
from seamline. Press seam allowance. Repeat for other end of rectangle
(Diagram II). Make 4 background/green (large flying geese), make 4 red
and green (1C & 2E) and make 4 background/red (1C&3E).
