A few summers ago I stayed at a great Bed and Breakfast at Catawba Island, Ohio. The hostess just happened to be a long arm quilter. By the end of the stay I was motivated to start that quilt I said I would do if I ever retired. I'm still working full time as a social worker, but have really caught the quilting bug. I just finished my 3rd quilt and getting ready to piece the fourth. Even as I get more skilled I am most interested in making quilts that can be used on a daily basis. I also like to make very personal quilts by adding a little surprise or significant fabric that only the owner will appreciate. When not working or quilting I enjoy working in my woodland garden that has lots of HOSTAs.
