Cream
... Cut 5 squares 3 1/2" x 3 1/2"
... Cut 3 squares 2" x 2"
... 2/2 reverse Template A
Red print
... Cut 1/1 reverse Template A

Red solid
... Cut 1 square 6 1/2" x 6 1/2"
Green
... cut 1/1 reverse Template A
Gold
... cut 1 square 2" x 2"

Assembly Instructions
Step 1. Pin match points together and sew from edge to edge, Template A red print half-rectangle to Template A cream half-rectangle (Diagram I). Make 1/1R red print and cream and 1/1R green print and cream pieced rectangles total.

Step 2. Draw diagonal line on wrong side of two 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" squares. Place one square on corner of red solid 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" square. Sew on drawn line and trim away excess fabric (Diagram II). Repeat for opposite corner to make pieced square.

Step 3. Sew 3 cream squares 2" x 2" and 1 gold 2" x2" together (see Diagram III for layout) to make 4-patch unit. Make 1.

Step 4. Using Diagram IV as guide, sew cream 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" squares to pre-pieced units to make rows. Sew rows together to make Flower Bud Block.
