Cutting Instructions:

Cream ... Color #1
1A - Cut one 4 7/8" square. Cut in half
diagonally to make 2 half-square triangles.
One triangle will be used in block.

*1B - Cut two 2 7/8" squares.

1C - Cut one 5 1/4" square. Sub cut
diagonally twice to make 4 quarter-
square triangles. Two triangles will be
used in each block.

1D - Cut one 2 1/2" square.

1E - Cut two 2 1/2" x 6 1/2" rectangles.

Purple ... color #2
2A - Cut one 4 7/8" square. Cut in half
diagonally to make 2 half-square triangles.
One triangle will be used in each block.

Pink ... color #3
*3B - Cut two 2 7/8" squares.

Light Green ... color #4
4B - Cut two 2 7/8" squares, cut in half
diagonally to make 4 half-square triangles.

Medium Green ... color #5
5A - Cut one 4 7/8" square. Cut in half
diagonally to make 2 half-square triangles.
One triangle will be used in each block.

*5B - Cut two 2 7/8" squares

Dark Green ... color #6
6A - Cut one 4 7/8" square. Cut in half
diagonally to make 2 half-square triangles.
One triangle will be used in each block.

6B - Cut two 2 7/8" squares.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1. Layer two 2 7/8" fabric squares right side to right side. On wrong side of lightest fabric, draw diagonal line with the marking tool of your choice. Sew 1/4" seam on each side of marked line; cut apart on marked line. Press open to make pieced squares (Diagram I).

Step 2. Referring to (Diagram II), assemble units A - F.

Step 3. Sew piece 2a, and 2 each of pieces 4b and units d and e to make unit h (Diagram II-B). Make 1.

Step 4. Referring to Assembly Diagram, stitch together piece 1D and 1A, 2 units c, and 1 each units a, b, f, g, and h to make Flower Basket, Intermediate Block.
