Cutting Instructions

Dark Blue Print 
     6 squares 2 7/8˝ x 2 7/8˝
     8 rectangles 2½˝ x 4½˝
White
     6 squares 2 7/8˝ x 2 7/8˝
     8 squares 2½˝ x 2½˝
Lt. Blue Print
     4 squares 2½˝ x 2½˝
     1 square 4½˝ x 4½˝

Piecing the Block

Step 1. Draw diagonal line on wrong side of white 2 7/8˝ square. Referring to Diagram I, place marked square on dark blue print 2 7/8˝ square, right sides together. Sew ¼˝ seam on each side of marked line; cut apart on marked line. Open and press to make 2 pieced squares. Make 12.

Step 2. Draw diagonal line on wrong side of 2½˝ white square. Referring to Diagram II, place marked square on 2½˝ x 4½˝ dark blue print rectangle, right sides together, aligning raw edges. Stitch on of drawn line; trim away and discard excess fabric. Open and press. Repeat on opposite end to make pieced rectangle. Make 4.

Step 3. Referring to Assembly Diagram, sew 5 rows using pieced squares, pieced rectangles, light blue print 2½˝ and 4½˝ squares, and dark blue 2½˝ x 4½˝ rectangles. Stitch rows together to make the Crystals Block.
