Cutting Instructions:
Assorted prints
... cut 2 sets of 2 matching Template A
... cut 4 assorted Template A
Light background print
... 1 square 9" x 9"
Piecing and Appliquéing the Block
Step 1. Referring to Diagram I-A, piece circle using 2 sets of matching Template A fabrics.

Step 2. Finger-press light background 9 " square in half on both length and width (see Diagram I-B). Using folds as placement guide, position pieced circle and appliqué outer edge in place using appliqué method of choice.

Step 3. Referring to Diagrams II-A through II-D, align and appliqué assorted Template A fabrics to corners to make Circle Block.

TRADITIONAL SETTING:
Our Circle Block pattern was reproduced from an appliquéd circle quilt (see below) from the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum antique quilts collection. The finished size of the quilt's block is 8 1/2" x 8 1/2". The quilt's overall finished size is 51" x 85", 6 blocks across and 10 blocks down (no borders).
