Cutting Instructions

Background
... Cut 4 squares 2 7/8" x 2 7/8"; subcut
diagonally to make 8 half-square triangles
... Cut 2 squares 4 7/8" x 4 7/8"; subcut
diagonally to make 4 half-square triangles
... Cut 12 squaAres 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"

Navy print
... Cut 8 Template A triangles

Green print
... Cut 4 squares 4 1/2" x 4 1/2"

Assembly Instructions
Step 1. Draw a diagonal line on wrong side of 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" background squares. Layer background square and 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" green print square, right sides together. Sew directly on top of drawn line. Cut away excess fabric 1/4" from seamline. Press seam allowance. Repeat for ajacent corners (Diagram IA-C). Make 4 pieced-squares total.

Step 2. Using Diagram II as a guide, sew background 2 7/8" x 2 7/8" triangle to navy print Template A triangle. Make 4 units with background triangle on right side; make 4 units with background trianlge on left side.

Capital T DII

Step 3. Layout pieced-square unit, right and left trianlge units, and background 4 7/8" x 4 7/8" triangle (Diagram III). Sew units and triangle together to make quadrant. Make 4 quadrants.
