ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1. Flying Geese Unit
Draw a diagonal line on wrong side of Piece 2A red squares. Layer Piece 2A square and Piece 1D cream rectangle, right sides together. Sew directly on top of drawn line. Cut away excess fabric 1/4" from seamline. Press seam allowance. Repeat for other end of rectangle (Diagram I). Make 8.

Step 2. Square in a Square Unit
Draw a diagonal line on wrong side of Piece 1B cream square. Layer Piece 2A and upper right corner of Piece 1B cream square, right sides together. Sew directly on top of drawn line. Cut away excess fabric 1/4" from seamline. Press seam allowance. Using Diagram II as a guide, repeat the steps for each corner of the square. Make 8.

| Step 3. Four-patch Unit Sew Piece 4F medium green strip to Piece 5F dark green strip. Press seam toward dark green. Subcut two-patch rectangles 1 1/2" x 2 1/2". Cut 16 two-patch rectangles total (Diagram IIIA). Using Diagram IIIB as a guide, sew 2 two-patch rectangles together to make a four-patch unit. Make 8 total.

| Step 7. Ohio Star Unit Using Diagram VII as a guide, place 4 Piece 1B 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" cream squares, 1 Piece 3B 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" gold squares, and 4 pieced square sub units as shown. Sew units and squares together to make Ohio Star Block. Make 1.
