Piecing the Blocks
1. Following piecing sequence illustrated in Diagram I-A and Diagram I-B, make Log Cabin blocks. Tip: Always press seam allowance toward last log added.

Piecing the Blocks
1. Following piecing sequence illustrated in Diagram I-A and Diagram I-B, make Log Cabin blocks. Tip: Always press seam allowance toward last log added.

2. Draw diagonal line on wrong side of blue print 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" squares. Referring to Diagram II-A, place blue print square on one end of cream log E, right sides together, aligning raw edges. Stitch on drawn line; trim away and discard excess fabric. Repeat step for other end of cream log. Make 82 cream/blue and 82 red/blue pieced-logs.
Piecing Sashing Units
3. Referring to Diagram II-B, make 41 cream/blue and 41 red/blue sashing units.

Quilt Top Assembly
4. Referring to Assembly Diagram, layout Log Cabin Blocks, sashing units, and blue squares (F), paying close attention to block and 'sashing unit' color placement. Sew blocks, sashing units, and squares together to make rows. Sew rows together.

Quilting and Finishing
5. Layer and baste quilt top for quilting method of your choice. Quilt as desired. Bind quilt with blue print fabric (see Basic Quiltmaking Instructions).
