To assure success with diagonal settings, whenever possible our instructions have you cut (or make) slightly oversized edge and corner setting triangles. Quilt edges will be trimmed after assembly to even them up, and the oversized setting triangles allow you to trim without cutting into adjacent blocks or patches. Download our "Setting Blocks On-Point" lesson and let our expert photos show you how. In addition, you'll learn how to calculate the size of your own setting triangles.

Very useful
Thank you so much for these instructions. They are very clear and easy to understand. My quilt was perfect because of this. I appreciate it!
Setting blocks on point
I wish I had seen this before cutting out all of my triangles. Thank you so much for having this on your site. Vickey
