Pattern change
Hi Kathy! I will get in touch with her soon. I completed two of these wall hangings, but modified it for my backward brain. :) I noticed that there is also a video on how to strip-piece the star as well. I'll give that a view and see if that explains how or why it didn't work for me. Thanks!
RE: Wondering if this pattern needs more editing
Hi, prairierose123. We've had lots of quilters send us photos of completed projects using this pattern with no problems, and I've made at least 6 of the star blocks myself and found the pattern to work just fine. Very sorry you had problems with it! If you'd like some individual help, please email Deb at mccallsquilting@fwcommunity.com and one of our editors will get in touch with you .
Wondering if this pattern needs more editing???
Hello - I am making this wall quilt using simple blues and white and while piecing it together, I noticed two things wrong.... the 9" square corner blocks should only be about 6.5" and every other diamond should be cut in the opposite (or reverse direction). However you will still need plenty of right directional diamonds for the border. I am wondering if I am the only person who had trouble with this quilt... any one else out there? Usually I can read and understand McCalls and Quick Quilt directions so easily, but this one had me ripping seams and redoing a lot of pieces. I'll look on the bright side: I now have enough to make two!
