PDF Block Making Instructions

Block instructions and diagrams refer only to contrast, not to specific fabrics. This contrast can be one of value (light vs. dark) or of color. Feel free to use as many fabrics as you wish. The only patches that have to match are the ones you want to match. If you'd like to include a Swiss cross as your block center, use the Alternate Center Square cutting instructions, and substitute the assembled nine-patch for the 5" center square.

Finished Block Size
18" x 18"

Fabric Requirements
Assorted darks            1/4 yd. total
Assorted lights        3/8 yard total
Assorted mediums        1/4 yard total
Assorted contrasting        1/4 yard total
