I had help from: Natalia Bonner. She helped with piecing and did the longarm quilting.

My original quilt inspired me by... My original entry was in summer colors, but now we are in winter so in thinking of the Challenge I began to think about the changing seasons. I love the color red and I love nature, and I wanted to applique something that represented nature. That feeling is incorporated through the warm colors, as well as the bare trees and the machine-quilted snowflakes falling from the air. In naming the quilt I felt like birds need berries and sometimes when it's really cold they could even use a warm blanket. "It's For the Birds"... literally. |
