My original quilt inspired me by... My first entry featured my sister, as she matured, done in portrait embroidery. This one features my family as we look today on a background of interwoven blocks representing the many ways our lives weave together into one beautiful blanket of love. The Angleplay borders on both quilts remind me of the hills and valleys of our lives that make us who we are. |

I experienced the following challenges with this quilt... Digitizing faces for embroidery in a manner that really fits the size of the quilt was a challenge as sizing the pictures and then stabilizing the fabric without stiffening the quilt all must be considered during all phases of the stitching. It's also very challenging to work on my own face! |
