My original quilt inspired me by... I have always been interested in the secondary patterns formed by blocks with a diagonal design. I wanted to see what my Miss Hannah block would look like set on point with multiple blocks. I re-drafted the Miss Hannah (at right) design and made four copies. Once I saw the design the floral bouquet was making I continued the design inward to make a central element that would work with the floral appliqué. |

I experienced the following challenges with this quilt... It was very challenging doing all that hand appliqué in less than a month. By the end my fingers were either sore or numb! |
