the slit on the front
Until I saw the video, I was very concerned about the slit on the front of the block. Now that I've seen the video it doesn't matter if the slit is on the front of the block because the flaps get sewn down on the front thereby hiding the slit. Thanks for the bonus video; it was very informative.
Circular Block Video
Wonderful! My 3 quilting gal pals & I went to our quilt shop for a demo of this type of quilting technique. It was awesome,so I purchased all the equipment that I'll need. And I come home and here in my mailbox is the latest McCalls quilting magazine with THIS quilt! I can't wait to try it! No need for binding! No need to hassle with all that extra quilting! MY kind of quilt.
SUPER Technique!!!
I love this idea and it eliminates the need to quilt a large quilt and no binding -- YEAH!! I plan to do this soon and want to make it a bigger bed quilt~~~ McCalls -- you have a great magazine and thank you for including this pattern in it!!

I can't wait to try this. Looks like a good way to use up some of my stash.
looks hard but it is not
wow she made it look so easy! im going to try it, but im wondering if i made it into a large quilt instead of waiting till all the rows were sewn together to stitch the flaps down i wonder if there is a way to stitch flaps down as you go maybe to eliminate having to push the big quilt thru the machine kinda like a QAYG
Fabulous!
It took something that looked so hard and made it so easy! My 11 year old granddaughter is sewing quilts & I think she'll love it! Thank you!
