In this case, the lining fabric for the quilted pillow front will not show, so stitches carried from one section to the next are most hidden from the front by not burying them in the batting, allowing the lining fabric to act as an additional layer to keep carried stitches from being visible on the front.

You mention a lining fabric when you show the back. Do you ever hide the skip over stitches in the batting?
