Such a beautiful quilt! Where can I get the pattern? The magazine is long gone.

The Split Nine-Patch Block is made of 3 light squares, 4 dark squares, and 2 pieced squares that are half dark and half light; the arrangement the darks and lights “splits” the block diagonally...thus the name Split Nine-Patch. In addition, nine-patches made with all light squares are added around the edges to complete the center pattern, and all dark nine-patches make up the border. If you'd like to order a copy of this issue, you may click on "Shop" at the top of this page, select “Special Issues” on the left side of the page under the header “McCall’s Quilting” and select America Loves Scrap Quilts Spring 2009. What did the original 9-patch block look like and where were the split lines?

The wonderful colors caught my eyes and the easy pattern was easy to teach my teen age neighbgors. Any contrasting colors can be used and the quilter will be thrilled with their quilt, your bonus designs will help new quilters to understand how flexable one pattern can be. Thank you
