McCall's Quilting Quilt Design Star™ 2011


We provided the Challenge 3 finalists with the following criteria for their Challenge 3 quilts: Your third and final challenge is to create a completed quilt, not just a quilt top. Your design: must be inspired by the lyrics to any well-recognized song must be at least 24˝ square it may be larger it may also be another shape than square (e.g. rectangular, hexagonal, circular, etc.) as long as total surface is at least 576 square inches (24″ x 24″ or larger) must have been started no earlier than September 9, 2011 may be pieced, appliquéd, or mixed techniques (others can work on your quilt, including sewing, quilting, and/or binding, but you must be the sole designer) should be quilted and bound should convey who you are as a designer

About the Contest
First, we invite you to enter an original quilt design.		McCall's Quilting would like to thank the sponsors of Quilt Design Star™.
Second, the public votes and helps us choose the finalists. Then, the finalists create their first-round quilt top (based on challenge criteria provided by McCall's Quilting).
And the public votes on the finalists' first-round challenge entries. Based on the public vote, some finalists are eliminated. Repeat for challenge rounds 2 and 3, until the winner is chosen!
