The non-profit, all-volunteer organization Enchanted Makeovers knows the power of sewing, and is adding sewing rooms to facilities sheltering women and children in need all over the US.

Before After image 50 percent 300x289 Sewing Is Healing You Can HelpBaby Lock is partnering with the Sacred Sewing Room Tour by providing sewing machines for the 5 shelters receiving makeovers this year, but the project can also use help from individual quilters. Monetary donations are tax deductible and go directly to funding this national tour. The project also accepts donations of Capes for Kids. For more information, visit

  1. Is there a program in Colorado? I would like to help locally. Could you please send me some info. I can teach quilting, pillow cases, curtains etc. Or I could make these things to donate. What a great program! Shelley Echter
