Here’s a sweet, softly frayed quilt that explores a fun and easy technique; appliqué shapes are positioned and glued on a grid-marked background, then secured as raw-edge appliqué during the quilting process. Designers Brenda Bailey and Bonnie Bailey tell you which widely-available glue to use for wonderfully easy, wash-out results.
The image above shows Brenda and Bonnie’s original bed size version, which is fully patterned in the November/December 2011 issue of McCall’s Quilting. Our free pattern download is re-sized for a much smaller version, and at 37½″ x 51½″, it’s just right for a crib, or as an all-around snuggle-size quilt for children.
Thanks for stopping by…enjoy!
