Mary Burns of the Martingale quilt book publishing company shares her staff quilting project in America Quilts Together. The group created several completely unique quilts with themes chosen by each individual.
Says Mary, “If you haven’t done a row robin before, it’s a great way to quilt together. We had both beginner and expert quilters, and it was equally fun for everyone. It’s really challenging to come up with something fantastic that fits someone else’s theme and fabric choices, to try out new patterns and techniques on a different row every month, and to see others take your theme in an entirely new direction.”

hello McCalls’ Quilting staff
just wanted to say I enjoy reading the blogs and the info on each of the quilters in QDS, did you know the link for Lisette Leveille is a little wonky it links to another quilter. Just thought you might like to know as I think there might be a few who follow her.
Thank you for checking into this , and for such a great job on the 2012 QDS.

A group of 9 of us just finished our row robins and had our reveal yesterday! They are not put together yet but if you check out my blog http://catsnquilts.blogspot.com/ you can see the results. It took us 16 months for the 9 of us to get them done. Most of us live in the Seattle area, but all are in Washington State.
These are really wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing your reveal day.
