I am honored to have been selected to participate in Challenge 3 of McCall’s Quilt Design Star™ 2012. First, I would like to express thanks to the sponsors of QDS. I have enjoyed and appreciated the generous gifts we have been given.
This my first Challenge competition. It has been a great fun and definitely has expanded my personal perspective in all areas of quilting from color selection to technique, thinking and experimenting beyond my comfort zone. I love the art of quilting and, well, everything about quilts!
My friends from church, our local quilt shops and the two quilt guilds I belong to have been so encouraging and excited for me as I have advanced in the competition. It warms my heart to call them friends and I thank them for their enduring support.
I am looking forward to the design process of the Challenge 3 round. “Opposites Attract” stimulates so many possibilities…I can hardly wait to see the imagination from all nine participants. I have been inspired by everyone’s creativity in the amazing quilts thus far.
