What was my reaction when I learned the theme for Challenge 3? – WOW! Opposite Attract. This will definitely push boundaries in my quilting.
What helped inspire my design idea for this final challenge? My first step was to research the theme ‘Opposite Attract’ on the web, through various scenarios — quilting, film, people, animal, etc. To view the many interpretations of this theme. The options available are high, it was a matter to pick the right scenarios and transferring the images so that it could be sewn and quilted.
How has my participation in QDS™ helped me in my quilting goals? It has pushed me to explore new opportunity which I wanted to do for a long time. Timing was always an excuse. Now I look at a quilt pattern and it inspires me to re-design it, or how other techniques such as painting, foiling, thread coloring, dimensional, could be added to make it unique. I’m also exploring in creating my own patterns in the future; as well as participating in more quilting competition…time will tell!

Cannot wait to see how your mind worked for this one. You really should have entered in the professional category… really you should have!
Is there a pattern for the quilt with the volkswagon? I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Thanks!
