Please welcome Amateur category finalist Lisette Léveillé to our 2012 Quilt Design Star™ competition!
Her entry-round quilt submission is titled “Martinique”.

Martinique
“Everyone – from my husband and family, friends and quilting friends, as well as colleagues at the office – are all 100% behind this competition journey.”
On her Challenge 1 experience so far: “As soon as I heard I was a finalist, I pulled my crayons, and started drawing. This is the first time I’ll be making the Amish Star Block. After several hours, I had the base of my quilt, but it has continued to evolve after I began sewing the pieces.”
Lisette receives support from a past Quilt Design Star™ contestant: “Since I know Shirley Jobson personally (a finalist in the 2011 McCall’s Quilt Design Star™), we met this past week at Camp Wanna Sew. Just like a relay, she passed the baton to me to carry on the Quilt Design competition tradition. We had great laughs about this moment over the weekend.”
“Here are a few pictures of my quilting room, which many envy due to the amount of space.”
