Renelda Peldunas-Harter is a finalist in our Professional category. Her quilting alter-ego, Quilted Cora, has been helping Renelda through every twist and turn of the Quilt Design Star™ 2012 competition.
Renelda’s entry-round quilt was titled “Colonel’s Stars”.

Colonel's Stars
Renelda wrote to us, describing her inspiration for Challenge 1:
“After getting over the fact that ‘Storm at Sea‘ would be our inspirational block, I started to think of ways to make the block my own! I swim several times a week and the solitude and rhythm of the water affords me quality thinking time. Since I have no pictures of me swimming, here’s a picture of Quilted Cora (my alter-ego) as she is seen swimming with the fish (fully accessorized) in my ‘Under the Sea’ quilt. Inspiration struck! Quilted Cora has chosen batiks to help flesh out the Challenge 1 design. Wish us luck (Cora flunked rotary cutting in Kindergarten)!”
