One of my daughters just returned from a winter class in Vienna, Austria. Here are a few photos you might enjoy.
And last, but not least, an interesting peek into a candy shop window decorated for Christmas.
Krampaus, I learned, is the evil sidekick of Santa Claus, popular in Vienna, and this representation is made of chocolate. I’m thinking charcoal in the stocking is looking pretty good compared to this guy. (Kinda gives a whole new meaning to thinking of chocolate as being “evil”!)

Wonderful photos ! Would love to spend a Christmas in Austria/Germany and shop all the Christmas markets … Agree, a lump of coal doesn’t seem too bad compared to that scary figure. Happy Holidays !
I have just returned from Germany on Tuesday – visited all their Christmas Markets but was not able to find a Quilt Shop as we were limited in our free shopping time. The buildings were all facinating. The decorations composed of live xmas trees all outside of businesses. The inside decorations in the malls were definitely different from the decorations in Canada. Happy Holiday to all.
What a great old world city, thanks for sharing the photo treats! I love the colorful candle display and would have had to carry some home with me had I been there!
