I’m so excited about our new mystery quilt pattern, I can’t wait to tell you so you can join us in the suspense! Designed by our own Associate Editor, Sherri Bain Driver, the mystery quilt will be released in the next three McCall’s Quilting issues, beginning with January/February 2012. Only 4 different fabrics will be required for the quilt top, and you’ll be able to choose from two different size options; a queen size bed quilt, or a bed topper/large throw size. You’ll even find a place in the pages to attach your own fabric swatches to help you keep track as you sew.
Whether or not you’ve ever participated in a mystery quilt, this is a perfect opportunity to join in. The pattern is easy enough for beginners, and more experienced quilters will appreciate it for its quick construction.
Printing presses are are being prepped and loaded as we speak, and newsstand copies and subscriptions will be on their way in about a week. Laura, Tricia, and I will all be sewing along, and we’d be delighted for you join us!

sounds exciting
This sounds like so much fun! I have not done a Mystery Quilt in years!
this sounds like fun
Can’t wait love mystery quilts.
Good I am ready to do another MQ. I have a great new stash of fabrics from our swaps. Looking forward to seeing the first part.
I have completed a couple of the mysteries and thoroughly enjoyed them. Unfortunately, they are not yet quilted. Have the mystery “Make It Your Way” three quarters finished – using the 1930′s reproduction fabrics for it.
