Wedding Placemat 6/final
Here is a photo I took of the finished placemats on a little snack table about the size that fits on their apartment balcony. I gave it to daughter Anne at her shower when she opened the placemats. (She loved them!) Their new apartment overlooks a creek, very romantic.
The vasemats are little layered and quilted pieces with raw frayed edges in keeping with the bride’s casual side of things. (The wedding decor and attendants’ attire is a mix of semi-formal and soft “agri-chic” as she’s calling it. We’ll have the ceremony in our back yard and the reception at the groom’s parents’ place that backs to open space and farm fields.)
I wanted the petal shapes to look like they fell a little randomly. All the mats will be different, but in that same color scheme.
The engaged couple. We are getting a son, not losing a daughter, as they say!

I love the vasemats. That is such a fun idea, I’m thinking of where I could tuck a few in my home.
Me too, after the wedding! I have some places in mind…
