The October/November 2011 issue of McCall’s Quick Quilts features a very cool cover quilt by Emily Bailey, made with fabrics from the Circa 1934 collection by Cosmo Cricket for Moda. To celebrate, we’re giving away this wonderful pack of fabrics from the collection, including 2/3 yard of the large-labels focal print plus 23 fat quarters of coordinating prints. Here’s what Moda has to say about the collection on their website: “The splendor of the silver screen and the inspiration of Amelia Earhart coincide in Circa 1934. This collection with its typewriter key caps, vintage numbers and ornate medallions captures this pivotal time in history. Rich red, worn yellow, antique white and sage green give you the perfect palette to work with. We hope it inspires you to create pieces that celebrate the struggles and perseverance of the human spirit!”
It was tough getting this yummy fabric away from our editors, but it can be YOURS if you post a comment on our McCall’s Quilting Facebook page any time from August 15 to September 30. On October 1, we’ll do a random drawing from all the comments, and contact the winner via Facebook. Drop by and say hello…you may win the makings of a wonderful quilt!
