Twenty finalists, twenty quilters all asking themselves the same question…”What should my Challenge 1 quilt look like?” The public has spoken, and our Quilt Design Star™ judges have approved a record 20 finalists for this year’s competition. Challenge 1 assignments go out today, and then our contestants are off to their design walls, local quilt shops, and sewing machines. If you see any of them out and about in your quilting neighborhood, please make a fuss over them. They’re a talented bunch, and they have a big task ahead of them. Beginning June 25, your votes will help determine who makes it through to Challenge 2!

How do I turn in the ends of a quilt?
Love this site!
Is there a list of the finalists??
Julie, check back later today on our home page. Our Web guru is busily preparing the page that will announce all finalist names. It should be up by the end of the evening.
Wooo Hooo!!!
Can’t wait!
Can you please give us a link to the main page?
How wonderful for the “Twenty”! Keeping the excitement in quilting & doing it well.
Oh well, didn’t make it into the Challenge 1 Round this time…

But it was definitelly great to be included into the initial selection and “measure-up” with all other diesigners out there.
Congrats to all finalists, can’t wait to see what are the next creations going to be!!
Off to do some more designing and sewing!
Congrats to the finalists… can’t wait to see the first round quilts!!
I confess, I am a fabric-aholic, never have enough fabric….just need more time to finish all the UFO’s. See so many projects I want to do, I just have to win the lottery to fulfill my quilting habit.
Will you please show us the quilts of the 20 finalists. We will all find them very interesting and exciting. Thank you!
The entry quilt for each finalist is on their bio page. So far, that’s it for quilts, as they are still working on their Challenge 1 projects. Enjoy!
I have been checking out a few of your articles and it’s clever stuff. I will surely bookmark your blog.
