Most days, I don’t think about my part in the quilting community. I quilt because it makes me happy.
However, there are points in time when I’m struck by what an amazing community it is and humbled to be a part of it. Viewing the Red and White show that just finished at the Folk Art Museum in New York City is one of those times. One of our 2010 Quilt Design Star™ finalists, John Kubiniec, sent us this video of the show. The music is from a live harpist. Quite frankly, I have goose bumps every time I see the video.
Watch this video and think about the hundreds of hands and the thousands of hours that went into making these quilts. Look at the artistry; it is quite simply amazing!
Let me know what you think when you watch it.
Happy Quilting!
Kathy
