New Year's Quilt Fabrics
Another year, another quilt! I started the new year out right by designing a new quilt in colors that I’ve never used.
I found myself strangely attracted to these bright pastels, especially when balanced against something with a lighter value (in this photo, the white-on-white fabric in front). I collected everything I had and ended up with these bright greens, blues, and pinks and I subsequently added purple and yellow.

I found my self doing almost the same thing, mine is a very pink/red/purple and white log cabin!

After the stress of the contest quilt, I wanted to do something fun, so I designed a quilt for my mother in law using browns, golds, greens and creams. I made it over the New Year weekend and sent it home with her.
