Hello all! I am showing you one of my all time favorite blocks today, the Log Cabin.

I went a little off the pattern with this block. The pattern calls for creams on one side of the block, but I was looking for an excuse to use these light backgrounds with light and dark blue patterns, so I decided to use them instead. I also love the punch of red in the middle. So, a very fun block to design, and obviously, very easy to make.
We also had a very positive call from Sarah. She has her first permanent assignment, which will start in January. She will not immediately be deployed overseas, which is a huge relief to us, instead she will be headed to Fairchild Air Force Base outside of Spokane, WA.
