Three of the editors from McCall’s Quilting magazine were thrilled to participate in Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks from Today’s Top Designer’s Issue!
Each of our editors designed a very different block showcasing their different styles and personalities.

Beth Hayes' Block - Posy Power
Our Editor-in-chief, Beth Hayes, designed a pretty block showcasing large floral prints.

Kathy Patterson's - One Happy Family
Our Senior Editor, Kathy Patterson, contributed an appliquéd Advent wreath, a remake of a block featured in a quilt she designed for a McCall’s Quilting issue (One Happy Family, December 2007, page 60).

Laura Roberts' - Moss Ross
Our Assitant Editor, Laura Roberts, designed a vibrant batik block in pinks and yellows and green.

Congratulations on having 3 staff members being selected for such a special issue. I already know how great your staff is as I read my magazine each month. Keep up the great work.
Congratulations on this collection you have had included in the new book. They are all lovely blocks, but I adore the little candles.
What a privilege it is to be able to see you work. Beautiful blocks all.
oh wow! that Moss Ross block took my breath away. I am a little into pink and green right now. The Advent one…hang on….One Happy Family made me instantly think of my mom, and how much I miss the Holidays with my family. My girls and I let me honey have aweek to himself in Jan and celebrate “chrsitmas” with my family then, but it’s not the same. I am goign to have to make that one for my mom and I each, maybe a pillow or wall hanging that we can both have and think of each other. And just to be fair, I have some florals that would look GREAT in the Posy Power block. I might have to take that and blow it up to feature some of those florals I don’t have any other ideas for!
Keep up the good work, and I LOVE your magazine. Sorry you need the Janitor to come and mop up all my gushing here =)
I would love to win this and your 3 blocks are just great!
fabulous
Great blocks.
Please include me in the giveaway
How great that McCall’s Quilting had 3 designers chosen for this special issue! Color and fabric choices for each of them are great. Guess that’s why I always love McCall’s Quilting! Congrats on being chosen for this issue and please enter me in the drawing. I’d love to win a copy of this issue but if not, I’ll be hitting the stores to find a copy …. and more fabric!
Love the Moss Ross, and I finally understand the significance of the purple and pink in an Advent wreath.
