Quilt Assembly Progress

I have my part 2 of the instructions and see that we are doing just a little in terms of constructing the quilt when there are two fabrics that we have yet to cut. There is still (assumption on my part) additional cutting & blocks to make, assembly, borders and sashing if any. It leaves one to wonder if the work per steps was evenly spaced or should we prepare to do the bulk of the work in part 3.

I had a time deciding what fabrics to use! My brain doesn't work that way - without knowing where I was going to end up, I had a really hard time picking a starting place!. Other than that, it's been fun and I can't wait to get the new issue to continue the "mystery!"

wrong size

my friend made her blocks and they came out five and a half inches. she bought more fabric and made the same mistake so she has heaps of blocks. Will she be able to cut the rest of the squares in this quilt to fit that measurement. She does not want to buy more fabric. thanks for the help.sisco

Mystery Quilt 2012

I've always wanted to make a mystery quilt--this is my first one. Just finished all of part one and I can't wait to get started on Part 2. Our favorite quilt shop is closing--Whipporill Station in Belleview--so sad--but I found some beautiful material that's perfect for this quilt.
